Donna is the ultimate entrepreneur. Having launched three successful businesses and four not- for-profit organizations, she is an expert in global marketing and small business operations. A business leader, Donna possesses 25 years experience in publishing and marketing working with large fortune 500 companies to build a marketing presence in the U.S. and abroad. She’s done business in 15 countries and understands the delicate balance of moving forward the business agenda while respecting the varying approach of different cultures.
Donna enjoys mentoring and grooming individuals, helping them to work together as a team for the collective whole while developing and specializing individual talents. She specializes in organizing and building not-for-profit organizations, recruiting and motivating volunteers; recognizing that the greatest asset to any organization is its people. Filmmaking Experience
Ms. Walden, co-founded and Executive Director of The Fallbrook Film Factory, a 501c3, not-for-profit consortium to bring filmmaking capabilities to Fallbrook and the San Diego region. Film enthusiasts wishing to write, direct, act, produce or contribute as film crew joined, and membership rose to 200 combined amateur and professional filmmakers. Walden was Executive Producer of Fallbrook's first film festival in April 2008, now organizing its fifth annual international film festival in 2013. In 2011, Shirley Jones was awarded the career achievement award. The Fallbrook Film Factory has produced dozens of films. "My Necklace Myself," written and directed by Bryan Caron and coproduced by Donna Walden in 2008 received numerous awards.
Ms. Walden has done much to further filmmaking capability in Northern Nevada. Working through the Brewery Arts Center in Carson City, she launched a filmmaking club, produced filmmaking and screen writing workshops, and co-produced two feature length films including “Gateway” written and directed by Carson High School student, Luke Holden, and “The Laramie Project,” a Multimedia Theatrical Production, for which Walden was solely responsible for the video content. Walden produced many filmmaking shorts as part of the youth filmmaking workshops she launched at the Brewery Arts Center in 2009 and 2010. During that time, Walden also produced an environmental video program for the Sierra Green Building Association located in Truckee, CA creating 8 films in 2009 – 2010 that aired on Carson City Channels 210 & 226.
Walden is debuting her latest film, “Secrets of the Desert Nymph,” produced as a community filmmaking workshop. In this feature length film, middle school and high school students in Douglas County and Carson City learned all aspects of filmmaking, acted as the main characters and worked as crew to put this production together.
